I came across a recipe called the $400 Cookies. It sounded too good to be true. I wanted to know what did it mean by $400 cookie but there was no answer but the recipe was there, so easy and perhaps the revenue from it comes out to $400? Hardly a clue but let you go figure!

Ingredients for this:

2 cups of Margarine
2 cups of Brown Sugar
2 cups of Sugar

4 large eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
Half teaspoon salt

5 cups quick cooking oats
4 cups all purpose flour
4 cups chocolate chips

Colourful sugar decorations

The method:
In a large mixing bowl, mix the ingredients together starting from Margarine and Sugar till well mixed followed by eggs, baking soda and salt. Lastly the oats, flour and chocolate chips. Once they have all been blended together, you can drop them using spoons on greased baking sheets. Sprinkle those rainbow or coloured decorations on the batter.

Bake them at high heat for about 10 to 12 minutes till they are golden brown or just when they start to turn light brown. Remove from oven and cool completely before storing them in air tight tins.

The $400 question. This recipe makes 8 dozen cookies! Great for a sale or festive giveaway!
